Each Section of the CTPR contains multiple graphs. The two main types of graphs that are available are overview graphs and detailed trend graphs. The overview graphs generally include one line for each variable (there are a few bar graph exceptions). The detailed trend graphs include the actual points and Joinpoint line for each variable in the overview graph. Any graph may be downloaded as a JPEG image (JPG), and the data may be downloaded in comma-separated values (CSV) format.
Depending upon the amount of data available for a particular measure, a Section may have as little as one overview and one detailed trend graph (e.g., Alcohol Consumption) or multiple overview and detailed trend graphs (e.g., Smoking Initiation). Some Sections are subdivided into different groups, which are then subdivided into even finer groups. Adult Smoking is an example of such a Section. It is divided into Cigarettes, Smokeless Tobacco, and Cigars. The Cigarettes category is divided into Sex, Race/Ethnicity, Age, Poverty Income Level, Education Level, and several multi-variable categories. The most recent estimate (with confidence interval) is provided in each instance.
